1. Description Hardware
The WebdynSun gateway is the communication hub of your solar power plant. It continuously collects all the data from the inverters, sensors, meters and Modbus equipment. This means you can stay informed at all times about the operating status of your installation.
WebdynSun is compatible with the following inverters:
SOLARMAX
SOCOMEC
SMA
SIEMENS
SCHNEIDER
LTI
KACO
INGETEAM
FRONIUS
DIEHL
DELTA
DANFOSS
ABB-POWERONE

2. Prerequisites
2.1 FTP server access
As the Webdynsun gateway does not create any directories, the FTP server must contain directories and sub-directories for configuration, definition, data, alarms, commands, logs and updates. Below is the list of directories expected by default.
2.2 Access to the NTP server
The Webdynsun gateway synchronises with an NTP server before each connection to the FTP server. By default, the gateway is configured to synchronise with the "pool.ntp.org" NTP server. As this NTP server is accessible on the Internet, the gateway must have valid access to the Internet (UDP port 123 open on exit) in order to synchronise.
2.3 GPRS or Ethernet connection
The servers (FTP and NTP) can be accessed via an Ethernet connection or a GPRS connection.
3. Product configuration
3.1 Connecting the PC to the local network
By default, the WebdynSun IP address is 192.168.1.12, the PC must be on the same network to communicate and have a fixed address, for example :
IP address: 192.168.1.10
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
To configure the PC's IP address on Windows, proceed as follows:
- Right-click on the network icon, open Network and Internet settings
- In the Settings window that opens, click on "Network and Sharing Centre".
- In the new window, select "Modify map parameters" from the top left-hand menu.
- Select "Ethernet"
- Choose "Internet Protocol version 4", then click on "Properties".
- A second window opens. Enter the IP address and the subnet mask:
- Tick "Use the following IP address".
- PC IP address: 192.168.1.10 (The 10 can be changed but must not be 12)
- Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
The connection between WebdynSun and the PC must be made using a straight RJ45 cable.
3.2 Configuration
Use your web browser to access the http address 192.168.1.12 (WebdynSun's default address):
|
We advise you to update WebdynSun, see documentation "WebdynSun | Update". |
- Utilisateur = userhigh
- Mot de passe = high
Configuring the gateway :
- Choice of language
- Gateway identifier --> default WD00XXXX, can be renamed
- Connection mode --> Ethernet or modem
- FTP server --> fill in the server identifiers
- Web service --> tick 'Activation', enter the following URL = http://qantum.qosenergy.com
- Inverter protocol --> choose the appropriate protocol
|
Once all the parameters have been entered, click Validate. A message at the top of the page indicates that the gateway must be restarted for the settings to take effect. Click on Restart in the left-hand menu. |
3.3 Discover the equipment
This step only applies if the inverters are communicating via the inverter protocol and are connected to the RS485A input.
Go to the "Installation/Inverter detection" menu.
To launch a detection, follow these steps:
- Enter the number of inverters to be detected
- Click on the "Run" button
- The page will refresh automatically
- Wait until the "Detection in progress" worm message disappears
After this search, a table is displayed at the bottom of the page with the various inverters detected.
If meters are present, perform the same operation in the "Installation/Meter detection" menu.
3.4 First connection to the FTP server
Once the various pieces of equipment have been detected, make a connection via the "Installation/Connection/Connect" menu.
4 files will be placed in the CONFIG folder on the FTP server (.daq, .var, .inv, .config)
You will need to manually edit the daq.ini and var.ini files to modify the parameters as follows (in yellow), then edit and save the changes:
daq.ini file
Check that all your equipment is present
DAQ_Period = acquisition period in minutes (here 15min)
var.ini file
Standard configuration: time connection
Once the changes have been made, launch a new connection via the WebdynSun interface so that the hardware saves the new configuration in its internal memory.
For MODBUS (RS485B) inverters/equipment, you must add them manually in daq.ini.
MODBUS_Addr[0]=1 Inverter address numbers
MODBUS_Name[0]= Inverter name or serial numbers (used to differentiate inverters)
MODBUS_FileDefName[0]= Inverter function definition file
| Remember to change the number between [] for each new inve |
Example :
For MODBUS equipment, you must check that the definition file is present in the DEF/MODBUS folder on the FTP server.
If the file is not present, please send an email to support@qosenergy.com with the inverter model and brand. We will then redirect you to WebdynSun if we do not have the corresponding file.
3.5 Checking data on FTP
Search for a csv.gz file corresponding to the WebdynSun gateway identifier in the following folders (depending on your equipment):
- DATA/INV
- DATA/MODBUS
- DAT/IO
- DATA/TIC
Check the integrity of these files and then contact QOS Energy at support@qosenergy.com with the following information:
- Customer name
- Site name
- Date and time of commissioning
- WebdynSn gateway identifier
- The daq.ini file
